High Value Person
Poem
I don’t gloat in victory
Or pout in failure
I don’t brag
Of my conquests and possessions;
I’m considerate
To the less fortunate
And graceful with the defeated;
Suffer I must
But without a murmur of complaint;
I choose well in my taste
And I avoid ostentation,
Showmanship and buffoonery
I let my actions,
Achievements and accomplishments
Speak for me
At the expense of my mouth;
I do and acquire
The things I like
And not those I value highly
For their impressions on others;
And if they impress others
Then I let it be;
I stay in synche
With my energy and mood
While remaining polite
Respectful and responsible
I listen well
To my conscience
And I follow the moral dictates
Of my natural way;
Although not perfect
I try to do as many of these
As often as I can and will;
For I earn an air
Of distinction and class
That birth and money
Or power and status alone
Cannot bestow
